About The Mixer

Welcome to The Media and Entertainment Mixer. Your hub for innovation in Media and Entertainment

We’re bringing real conversations in media and entertainment through our mixers. From Bristol to London, Amsterdam, and wherever the demand is. No fluff, just straight talk on the future of our industry.

Where it all started

It all started with a simple idea: put Bristol on the map as a hub for innovation in Media and Entertainment.

The Bristol Media and Entertainment Mixer (BMEM) set out to create something different — a proper community where people could swap ideas, make connections, and, frankly, enjoy themselves while doing it.

Turns out, we were onto something. The response was undeniable. Attracting big names like Bitmovin, MediaKind, Accedo, and Harmonic to Bristol — and seeing that momentum build — has been incredible.

But why stop at Bristol?

London called next, and we answered with the London Media and Entertainment Mixer — our rebellious little sister event. Same energy, bigger playground. A new stage to shake things up, draw in fresh voices, and double down on the sense of community that made Bristol so special.

Amsterdam has already had its turn, perfectly timed with IBC. We brought something more grassroots, more informal, and more people-first to the city — tapping into the global energy of IBC while keeping the conversations grounded in community.

And we’re not stopping there. We’ll go wherever there’s appetite. Cities on the horizon include Lisbon, New York, and Las Vegas.

This is more than a series of events — it’s a growing movement.

The Media & Entertainment Mixer is about making space — real, human space — for honest conversations, innovative thinking, and cross-industry collisions. You don’t need a lanyard or a corporate title to belong. You just need curiosity, a bit of boldness, and a drink in hand.

Bristol will always be our home. But this thing’s got legs — and we’re taking it further.

As we look to new cities and new communities, one thing stays the same: we build this together. Inclusive, accessible, and always a bit unexpected.

The Media & Entertainment Mixer is growing — and it’s just getting started.

  • “Congratulations! At the very considerable risk of sounding obsequious - which I am loath to do - Tommy did an excellent job. I am genuinely impressed by the stature he has attained in this industry, thanks to grit, hard work, creativity, etc. A really good event all around. Please do it again in future.”

  • “It was a lively event, free flowing and valuable - and importantly, pretty candid - information from senior people who have had the career highs and lows, who know their onions.”

  • “I really enjoyed this event. I've already told many colleagues and peers about how fresh it was compared to others. I hope the fresh feel stays.”

  • “Really enjoyed the scale of the event and the relaxed atmosphere - it made networking feel much easier than some of the larger industry events.”
