Where it all started

It all started with a simple idea: put Bristol on the map as a hub for innovation in Media and Entertainment. The Bristol Media and Entertainment Mixer (BMEM) set out to create something different — a proper community where people could swap ideas, make connections, and, frankly, enjoy themselves while doing it.

Turns out, we were onto something. The response to BMEM was undeniable. Attracting big names like Bitmovin, MediaKind, Accedo, and Harmonic to Bristol and seeing the momentum grow has been incredible — we’d be fools to stop now.

But why stop at Bristol? London’s been calling, and we’ve answered with the London Media and Entertainment Mixer, our rebellious little sister event. Same vibe, bigger city, more opportunities to shake things up.

And we’re not stopping there. The Media & Entertainment Mixer is now a growing community that’s about bringing people together — across cities, industries, and ideas. We’re here to prove that hearing about the cutting edge of innovation doesn’t need to be reserved for boardrooms, IBC, or even Faultline . It can happen in your own backyard, with a drink in hand and real, human conversations — where people show up as themselves, not just their job titles.

Bristol will always be home. But the Media & Entertainment Mixer is spreading its wings. We’ve got our sights set on new cities, new ideas, and more ways to create spaces that matter.
